Actually, you can only “maximize your options” if you have a reference. Let’s say a girl had been cut from Theta at a Texas school and decided to come to Ole Miss to try to get it and transfer back. If she was “no rec’d” meaning that if any alumni stated that they did not recommend her as a candidate, she would be cut from Theta at Ole Miss as well. Even the sororities that are considered lower tier have to have a valid reference from alumns.
