Posted by anonymous 12/28/2009 05:57 PMComplete lack of academic integrity. This is the biggest blight on the Wharton brand. Kids cheat at every available opportunity. This is particularly true for international students, especially the East Asian international students.
Student body is largely smart, hardworking kids who still manage to have a complete lemming mentality, everyone following the herd jumping into investment banks. The financial crisis has done nothing to sway this view; if anything, students are now even more excited at the prospect of “getting in at the bottom”.
Should put more of an emphasis on entrepreneurship and technology (beyond M&T;). The current cynical image of the school is that of an HR breeding ground for Wall Street.
The Core needs to be completely rethought. Management 100 is an ultimately irrelevant course, and Management 101 is mind-numbingly awful, even though Management concentration courses are great. BPUB needs to be made much harder and more differentiated from straight micro — should actually involve Business and Public Policy topics like how firm actions are impacted by the government (that is, if they want people to become involved in public-interest careers).
Wharton should stop being so stuck-up about study abroad, and recognize more international schools as legitimate for transfer credit.reply 20 votes report
Posted by anonymous girl ’12 12/28/2009 06:15 PMAn amplified version of Penn: great academics, connections and resources that will have you set for life, full of students who possess impecable talent and work ethic, yet are all wealthy, snotty, narrow minded and possess NO morals whatsoever. And also- I’m in Wharton and I see the International kids (particularly Koreans, though not sure why) cheat all the motherfucking time. It’s absolutely ridiculous.reply 30 votes report

Posted by anonymous 12/29/2009 12:14 AM Complete lack of academic integrity. This is the bigges…lack of academic integrity but also classes do not compare to almost any of the hard sciences or the engi school as a whole.reply 50 votes report
Posted by anonymous 12/29/2009 12:29 AM lack of academic integrity but also classes do not comp…I’m a junior in engineering and wharton. I applied to wharton after freshman year and got in. In simple, blunt terms, Wharton is a huge fucking joke. The classes require minimal work, the kids are incredibly stupid for the most part, and like someone said before they’re just soul-less, integrity-less, cheating bastards. It’s a shame daddy’s money is all people need still these days.reply 60 votes report

and being M&T; is no joke, and the workload is equally distributed in my opinion between the two.
BUT KOREANS ARE FAGS, COMPLETELY AGREED WITH #4reply 70 votes report
