Posted by anonymous 11/17/2009 02:44 AM1. It is statistically more difficult to get into Penn as a transfer student. Typically, the students who are admitted are academically superior to the average freshman admit. The fact is, the average GPA of the transfer population is well above the average across the university.
2. No, there are not any more transfers this year. Actually, there are fewer.
3. If you don’t like someone, don’t hang out with them. It’s that simple. You don’t have to knock all transfer students, most of whom you have never encountered just because you have a problem with one person.
4. Have you ever thought for a second that it is so much harder to have a normal social life as a transfer? Transfers didn’t get to live in the Quad and form lifelong bonds of friendship with their hallmates. They’re not part of a posse and perhaps you should be a little more accepting to someone who just wants a friend. reply 50 votes report

Transfers (for the most part) are basically people who didn’t get into Penn as their first choice, went somewhere else for a year, and had a miserable time because he/she was waiting to transfer. He/she didn’t party much, didn’t have a good time, and was freaking the fuck out until he/she get in. Sorry, but go back to Michigan or Wash U — we’re still better.reply
